There really is no way around it, over it, or under it.
You have to go through it.
The Journey Forward is not easy, and maybe won’t look like you thought it would, but it’s worth it to get to the other side.

Meet Your Therapist
I understand that every person has their own journey and I am privileged to help you start living a better life. I’ll take a nonjudgmental role and show up as a real person just like you. My goal is to partner with you on your Journey Forward.
When not working, you will probably find me outdoors in my expansive vegetable garden, out on the water or on hiking trails. I also enjoy watching laugh out loud television and movies and gathering with close friends and family over a great cup of coffee.

My Approach
Beginning therapy means different things to different people, but it IS an action of courage, hope, self-care, and self-determination. I want you to know what awaits you in therapy is the space to seek out understanding and healing, at a pace that feels right, and with a competent therapist to guide you through.
With me, you can expect it to feel like a natural conversation with someone who is interested in your experiences and opinions, who listens fully and asks questions to understand, and whose only goal is to support you in learning new ways to manage your symptoms, approach problems in your life, and to regain control in the midst of life’s storms.
With almost 25 years of experience with adults and families, I utilize an eclectic therapeutic style that focuses on your natural strength to overcome depression, anxiety or panic disorders, cope with chronic illness or pain, manage sleep disorders, move forward with grief, improve relationships, love yourself fully and adjust to new life circumstances.

Take the first step to help
Counseling is a collaborative process undertaken between you and a therapist, designed to empower you to accomplish mental health and wellness goals. We will focus on things that are bothering you today and while we reflect on how the past has impacted this- but we won’t focus there as solutions are found in the future, not the past.
